A small ceramic studio in Jingdezhen, making pieces by hand since 2020.
Jingdezhen — known in China as the "Porcelain Capital" — has been quietly perfecting its craft since 1004 AD. From imperial tributes of the Song dynasty to everyday bowls on village tables, the work has passed through generations of makers.
"We are ZIJING — a small studio of ceramicists who grew up beside the old kilns of Jingdezhen. We believe every piece carries two lives: the thousand-year craft that settled into the clay, and the everyday life of the person who will use it."
Each piece is wheel-thrown, hand-painted, and kiln-fired over 12 hours at 1280°C. The little characters on our mugs, the animals on our plates, the stars and stripes in morning light — nothing here is machine-pressed. Every smile, every flower, every small dot pressed by hand is an artist's quiet labor.
"We didn't invent ceramics. We just can't imagine life without them."
